Code of Conduct

This code of conduct applies to all attendees of GlasgowJS-organised events, including sponsors and volunteers.

We are dedicated to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all attendees. People attend to learn, network and socialise. Some people may be beginners, or have made different technology choices. We ask that people be supportive, respectful and engaging with others.

Where people are disruptive to the event, the ethos of this code of conduct, or the ability of other attendees to partipate as equals then they will be warned, sanctioned or removed from the event at the discretion of the organisers.

Where an attendee notices harrassing behavior, or is subject to harassing behaviour then please inform an organiser.

Harassing behavior includes, but is not limited to, offensive comments or discrimination related to sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, disability, religion (or lack of), national origin, or age. Acts like intimidation, following, unwelcome attention, use of inappropriate sexualised imagery, inappropriate physical contact or disruption of the event are not acceptable.

We expect attendees to follow these rules at the event venue and related social events.
